Majority Of The Time

On average, a British employee spends 84, 365 hours of their lives at work. Taking this as a point of departure, “Majority of the Time’ is a photographic project focusing on people who have chosen to perform manual labour as their career path. The images illustrate a variety of blue-collar workers including car mechanics, quarry miners and shipping crew members. The British work force is often discussed in the media from an objective standpoint related to what is termed as Gross-Domestic-Product (GDP). By contrast, I have attempted to show the humanity of these people and the significant roles they play in society.
